WATER DISTRIBUTION UNIT FOR COOLING TOWER AND COOLING TOWER COMPRISING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the cooling capacity appropriately, while decreasing the number of parts of a water distribution unit, by distributing water selectively to an air passage depending on the outdoor air temperature through a water distributing section provided in the center of a cap integrally therewith. SOLUTION: Upper end of each set of heat exchanging fins 12 on the uppermost stage forming a drying/humidifying passage S interconnecting the upper and lower stages is closed with a cap 15 extending between heat exchanging fins 12a on the opposite sides. A water distribution pipe 16 is formed in the center of the cap 15 integrally therewith and the lower edge at the opposite sides of the cap 15 is divided into a pair of parallel leg plate pieces 17 serving as a coupling part over the entire length of the cap. Upper end part of the heat exchanging fins 12a on the opposite sides in each set on the uppermost stage is inserted between the leg plate pieces 17 at each coupling part. Water is not distributed from a water distribution pipe 16 to the drying/humidifying passage S in intermediate and winter seasons but distributed in other seasons.
