THREAD ROLLING METHOD OF BAR LIKE WORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread rolling method of a bar like work advantageous in accommodating a position in the longitudinal direction of a second formed part of a ring groove, etc., in a tolerance. SOLUTION: With using a thread rolling die 40 having a thread part 41 along a helical direction and in order to form-roll a thread part to a first forming outer peripheral face 11 of a bar like work 1, the operation to indent the screw thread 41 of the thread rolling die 40 into the first forming outer peripheral face 11 of the bar like work 1 and to generate walking force along the longitudinal direction is conducted. The bar like work 1, which is displaced along the longitudinal direction of the bar like work 1 based on the walking force, is butted on a work reference face 60 of a work reference part 6 to fix its position. Further, indentation of a second form rolling die 45 into a second forming outer peripheral face 12 is progressed, second forming parts 18, 19 are form-rolled to the second forming outer peripheral face 12 of the bar like work 1.
