Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a sodium battery in which a cost-up is suppressed by alleviating manufacturing conditions and in which the reliability and durability are made to improve. SOLUTION: This is the manufacturing method of the sodium battery equipped with the followings; a bottomed and cylindrical outer tube 1A that has an opening at the top side, a bottomed and cylindrical solid electrolyte tube 3 that is inserted into the outer tube 1A; a positive electrode active substance 2 that is filled up in a positive electrode room 2a formed between this solid electrolyte tube 3 and the outer tube 1A; a negative electrode active substance 4 that is filled up in a negative electrode room 4a formed at the inside of the solid electrolyte tube 3; and an upper flange 5a which is fixed by a bolt 9 at the outer tube 1A and occludes a top side of the positive electrode room 2a; wherein a process to fix the upper flange 5a in the state that the positive electrode room 2a and the outside are communicated by a metal tube 21, a process which evacuates the positive electrode room 2a by a vacuum pump 31, and a process in which the positive electrode room 2a is sealed at the state that the reduced pressure of the positive electrode room 2a is maintained, are possessed.
