Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centering method and centering device for annular mantels which are capable of easily centering the mantels in all-joint weld zones at the circumferences of the mantels and improving workability. SOLUTION: In the centering method for the annular mantels when either of the upper and lower corresponding annular mantels is hung down and the hung down first mantel 11 is joined to the second mantel 13 to be connected in the stage of new construction or reforming of a blast furnace, the first mantel 11 is hung down by a plurality of hanging down means 16a to 16d on receiving beams 15a to 15d horizontally supported on a furnace casing tower 14 of the blast furnace and the hanging down means 16a to 16d are moved longitudinally and laterally on the receiving beams 15a to 15d, by which the first and second mantels 12 and 13 are centered.
