Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce hull resistance, and to improve sailing efficiency of a high speed ship by reducing a stern sinking quantity of the high speed ship. SOLUTION: This hull resistance reducing device closely fixed to a stern bottom surface 3 of the high speed ship is provided with a water flow deflector 4 having a backward lowering inclined under surface to the stern bottom surface 3 on a longitudinal sectional surface of the hull 1. A sinking quantity of the stern 2 can be reduced by downwardly deflecting a water flow by the under surface of the water flow deflector 4.
