SUSPENDING OVERHEAD LINE TRAVELING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspending overhead line traveling machine which can be applied to the inspection work of, for example, trolley wires and can run on a suspending overhead line by riding across obstacles, such as thick portions, connection with other wires, etc., even if there are obstacles on this line. SOLUTION: This suspending overhead line traveling machine A is provided with two rotating shafts 20, an endless chain 30 which is put around the shafts 20 and carries six suspending sections 40 at prescribed intervals, and a pair of rail members 50 attached to the upper part of a sidewall 10. Each suspending section 40 contains a pair of pawl members 42, which are biased in a closed state by a spring 43. The members 42 are closed by the pressing forces from the rail members 50, when its suspending section 40 is on the straight route 31 of the chain 43 and are opened, when the section 40 is at a spot other than the straight route 31 of the chain 43.
