Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an amide-modified polyester resin which gives an electrophotographic toner forming an image for good quality in a wide temperature range and excellent also in electrification characteristics in an atmosphere of high humidity and to provide an electrophotographic toner containing the amide-modified polyester resin as an essential component. SOLUTION: The amide-modified polyester resin is produced by reacting a carboxyl-containing polyester resin (A) with an N-hydroxyalkylcarboxylic acid amide compound (B) having at least two hydroxyl groups and at least one amide group.
