SOLUTION: This carbon black has a specific surface area measured by nitrogen adsorption of 20-150 m2/g, a DBP absorption quantity of 30-200 cm3/100 g, a pH of 4 or less, the greatest frequency Stokes diameter, Dst (400 W) of 20-400 nm, and its half width, D1/2 (400 W), of 10-300 nm, and the relation between the greatest frequency Stokes diameter, Dst (100 W) and its half width D2/1 (100 W) satisfies following formula.
