Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sugar chain capable of being used as a sugar donator to a compound having amino group, and to provide a method for producing the same sugar chain. SOLUTION: This sugar chain containing 1,5-D-anhydrofructose as a structural unit is produced by bringing a polysaccharide into contact with 1,5-D- anhydrofructose in the presence of a sugar chain transfer catalyst to transfer a monosaccharide unit or a partial sugar chain unit both constituting the polysaccharide to 1,5-D-anhydrofructose.
