Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove dioxins highly and economically from an exhaust gas of a melting furnace for melting scraps. SOLUTION: A rotary kiln type preheating furnace 2, having a burner for burning a combustible component in the exhaust gas is provided in an upper part of the melting furnace 1 for melting the scraps, and a wet dust collector 3 having the functions of water-cooling and dust removal of the exhaust gas, is provided directly behind the rotary kiln type preheating furnace 2. In the rotary kiln type preheating furnace 2, the scraps prior to being charged to the melting furnace is heated to 800 deg.C or higher, the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas at an exhaust gas outlet of the rotary kiln type preheating furnace 2 is controlled to be not higher than 1%, and the temperature of the exhaust gas at an inlet of the wet type dust collector 3 is controlled at 400 deg.C or higher by controlling the combustion of the burner.
