Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle travel controller with a small number of interrogators or responders mounted on the ground. SOLUTION: A vehicle 100 is mounted with the interrogator 200, while the plural responders 301-313 are mounted on one side of a vehicle track along the vehicle track. A travel of the vehicle 100 is controlled by communication between the interrogator 200 and the responders 301-313. Two transmitting antennas provided in the interrogator 200 oppositely to each other such that the antennas face to the vehicle sides, and two receiving antennas provided oppositely to each other such that the antennas face to the vehicle sides are changed over to the side corresponding to set position of the responder present in a next traveling direction on the basis of set position information transmitted from the responders 303, 307 just before a course change point.
