ON-ROAD BODY DETECTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an on-road body detecting device with stable detecting performance which is not affected by the distance between a body on a road and a video camera, etc. SOLUTION: A synchronizing signal separation part 3 separates a synchronizing signal superposed on the video signal from a video camera 1, a clock generation part 4 generates a clock synchronizing with the synchronizing signal, and an A/D conversion part 2 converts the video signal from analog to digital; and image data are supplied to a resolution variation part 8 through a center- value filter 5 and a scanning position detection part 6 inputs the synchronizing signal and clock and sequentially supplies current scanning position information to a parameter memory 7a. Then coefficients by scanning positions which are stored in the parameter memory 7a are sequentially supplied to the resolution variation part 8, so that an image which is closer to the video camera 1 is varied to tougher resolution.
