SOLUTION: This invention relates to the method for preparing non- crystalline 9-deoxo-9a-aza-9a-methyl-9a-homoerythromycin A (Azithromycin) by lyophilizing an aliphatic alcohol solution or a cyclic ether solution of crystalline Azithromycin.
