PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that displays image data stored in a semiconductor memory and provides a switching mechanism to a connection section to the semiconductor memory so as to act this connection section like an operation section thereby allowing the connection section to contribute to miniaturization. SOLUTION: A semiconductor memory 30 capable of storing image data is inserted to a slot 223 of a rotary switch 20 to be electrically connected to a display device body 10. Turning the semiconductor memory therein controls the rotary switch 20 to apply switch control to a form (OFF and frame feed or the like) of an image displayed on a display section 11 of the display device body 10.
