Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a,problem that singly crushed plastics are liable to cause landing combustion, when the singly crushed plastics are used as a substitute fuel for a combustion device using pulverized coal, heavy oil, or the like, consequently deteriorating the nature and quality of the calcined product, a problem that the crushing treatment is excessive to cause the remarkable enhancement of the crushing cost for plastics which are difficult to crush, when the crushing is more finely carried out to prevent the landing combustion of the crushed plastics, and a problem that the lowering in the efficiency of combustion due to the displacement of a combustion zone, the spreading of temperature distribution, or the like, is easily caused, when the speed for charging the crushed plastics is enhanced. SOLUTION: This method for processing the plastics into the fuel is characterized by crushing plastics into the crushed product having a specific surface area of >=200 cm2/g and a weight of 0.01 to 0.1 g and burning the crushed product at >=800 deg.C in a calcination kiln.
