Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately slide side fences of a paper feeding part and a paper discharge part to positions according to size of paper in a transverse width, direction, and successfully feed paper from the paper feeding part and arrange paper discharged to the paper discharge part. SOLUTION: When a side fence driving part is driven to slide a side fence 17 after the paper is placed on a paper placing table 11, an abutting detecting sensor 20 slides integrally with the side fence 17, and the abutting detecting sensor 20 detects that the side fence 17 slides to a position abutting on the side part of the paper. Based on the detection result of the abutting detecting sensor 20, a side fence stopping means stops a sliding operation of the side fence 17, and the side fence 17 is stopped at the position abutting on the side part of the paper.
