SOLUTION: This work positioning device is furnished with a first camera to detect a position X1 in the X direction of a first specified portion of a first work 2, a second camera 115 to detect a position X2 in the X direction of a second specified portion 11 of a second work 4, a length measuring sensor 116 to detect variation x of an X direction position of a side surface of the first work and a moving stage 129 to move the second work 4 by moving quantity (X2-X1) in the X direction against the first work 2 and to match a position of the second specified portion of the second work with a position of the first specified portion of the first work, and moves the second work in the X direction by quantity adding the positional variation x of the first work on the fixed side to the moving quantity (X2-X1) at the time of moving by the moving stage.
