Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating the surface of a steel product continuously cast in the hot-state for the purpose of removing the surface defect and the surface impurities, etc., thereon. SOLUTION: For the purpose of lowering the temperature of the surface to be treated to a fixed temperature, previous to a process for surface treatment at least a portion of at least one side of the surfaces of the steel product, is cooled.
