Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make photographic printing paper easily adjustable so as to control speed and sensitivity in production without increasing heat sensitivity. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a photographic element including a substrate and a silver halide emulsion layer containing at least one absorbing dye and at least one sensitizing dye. The maximum absorption wavelength of the absorbing dye and the wavelength of the maximum sensitivity of an emulsion provided by the spectral sensitizing dye are much the same. This emulsion is chemically sensitized with a stable water-soluble Au (I) complex. The improvement of processability, the improvement of detail and sharpness, the improvement of dodging and burning and the lowering of cost are attained without increasing unfavorable heat sensitivity.
