Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide biodegradable foaming particles excellent in flexibility and cushioning characteristic and molded product thereof in high productivity. SOLUTION: This method for producing biodegradable foaming particles composed of polylactic acid comprises adding a thickener and a foaming nucleating agent to a substantially amorphous polylactic acid comprising L-form and D-form to produce a biodegradable resin composition, impregnating a 3-4C hydrocarbon compound as a foaming auxiliary and a foaming agent into the above resin composition to produce foaming particles and subjecting the above foaming particles to heat treatment for 10-300 sec by steam kept at 50-105 deg.C.
