METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMINO ACID ESTER HYDROCHLORIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the production of impurities and produce an amino acid ester hydrochloride without causing trouble such as the backflow of a reactional liquid into a hydrogen chloride gas feed pipe when an amino acid is reacted with an alcohol in the presence of hydrogen chloride to produce the amino acid ester hydrochloride. SOLUTION: Hydrogen chloride gas is introduced into a vapor phase part in a reactor and a liquid component constituting a liquid phase such as the alcohol is brought into contact with the hydrogen chloride gas. The hydrogen chloride is fed into the reactional system to carry out the reaction in a method for producing the amino acid ester hydrochloride such as L-phenylalanine methyl ester hydrochloride by reacting the amino acid such as L-phenylalanine with the alcohol such as methanol in the presence of the hydrogen chloride in the liquid phase in the reactor.
