CASE FOR AIR BAG DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for an air bag device capable of suppressing separation of a lid body from a casing even in development of an air bag. SOLUTION: The case for the air bag device comprises the lid body 20, the casing 30, and an outer patch plate 42. A bridging portion 32 is projected on the outer surface of the casing 30, and height of the inner surface of the bridging portion 32 is larger than thickness of a sidewall 20a of the lid body 20. In the bridging portion 32, a deformation suppressing rib 33 is projected from the outer surface of the casing 30. This rib 33 has a height approximately same as the thickness of the sidewall 20a of the lid body 20. The bridging portion 32 of the casing 30 is inserted into a through-hole 24 in the lid body 20, and a locking projecting part 42a of a plate 42 is inserted into the bridging portion 32 so as to grab the lid body 20 with the casing 30. The casing 30 is fixed to the outer patch plate 42.
