PACKAGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging device which is excellent in efficiencies in transportation and storage while becoming small in size on packaging and with which a position in handling of the package is fixed naturally, depending on shape of the packaged matter. SOLUTION: On packaging an article 2 in a hexahedral shape with the packaging device, opposite two faces each being stable strengthwise of the article 2 are set respectively as a top face 3 and a bottom face 4 in the state of being packaged, and the side of the bottom face 4 thereof is housed in an upwardly opened lower case 9 composed of a bottom part 7 and a peripheral side part 8 and made of a rigid paper material while the side of the top face 3 thereof is covered with a downwardly opened upper case 12 composed of an upper part 10 and a peripheral side part 11 and made of a rigid paper material into a size adaptable for being housed in the lower case 9, and the periphery of the article 2 is covered with a protective member while the upper case 9 and the lower case 12 are bound up with binding materials 19 wound round.
