PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a washing machine sucking remaining bath water with a suction pump connected to a water supply pipe part and supplying the bath water to a spinning tub by preventing water leakage from the front part to a floor surface in supplying water with the suction pump, or the like, even if a through hole of a water receiving tub cover is blocked with a relatively light-weight garment such as a shirt or a bed sheet. SOLUTION: A spinning tub 1 mounted rotatably in a water receiving tub 3 is driven by a motor 4. The top of the water receiving tank 3 is covered by a water receiving tank cover 20 with a supplied water receiving part 23, and a drain passage 26 is connected adjacently to the supplied water receiving part 23 of the water receiving tank cover 20. A suction pipe part 27, to which a suction pump is connected, is mounted on the water receiving tank cover 20. The suction pump can be connected to the suction pipe part 27 above the water receiving tank cover 20, and the under side of the water receiving tank cover 20 is opened to the spinning tub 1. A water drain hole 28 is formed above the water receiving tank cover 20.
