Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quartz oscillator which prevents a short circuit between electrodes while a quartz plate can be oscillated easily. SOLUTION: The quartz plate 10 which comprises its surface 10a, its rear 10b and its side face is provided. An electrode 12 and an electrode 14 which are installed on the surface 10a and the rear 10b of the quartz plate 10 are provided. A one-face covering material 30 which covers the electrode 14, on one side, installed on the rear 10b and whose inner wall 32 comes into contact with the side face of the quartz plate 10 is provided. A sealing material 40 which is installed between the surface 10a of the quartz plate 10 on which the electrode 12 on the other side is installed and the inner wall 32 is provided. Since the sealing material 40 is bonded to the inner wall 32 coming onto contact with the side face of the quartz plate 10, the sealing material 40 is situated inevitably in the end part of the quartz plate 10, and the quartz plate 10 can be oscillated easily.
