VEHICLE BODY STRUCTURE FOR FORKLIFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure for a forklift allowing a driver to easily get on/off and easily perform maintenance and inspection for a hydrau lic system and an electric system, securing required vehicle body strength by a comparatively simple structure. SOLUTION: Each side frame 20 for reinforcing vehicle body is arranged along front and rear directions at both side ends of a vehicle width direction of the vehicle body. In each side frame 20, the lower half part 20a located between front and rear wheels 3, 4 and an upper surface has a vertical width to be a lower position by a prescribed dimension than that of a floor surface 10 of a driver's seat. In an upper part in a front side of each side frame 20, each cover member 22 is freely attachably/detachably mounted. On the cover member 22, a floor plate 28 constituting the floor surface 10 of the driver's seat is arranged. In the cover member 22, a mounting part 22c on the side frame 20 is formed as an auxiliary step part for getting on/off.
