Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant displacement-energy absorption curve to any portion in a longitudinal direction of an energy absorber in regard to an occupant crash protection structure of the upper body of an automobile. SOLUTION: This structure is provided with an energy absorbing interval provided between an interior material 14 and inner panels of a vehicle front pillar and other pillars, and the energy absorber 15 formed separately from the interior trim material, attached to the inner panels, and arranged inside the energy absorbing interval. A part (a crushed part) 15a folded back into a hollow cross sectional form (outside a vehicle cabin) is provided on a vehicle cabin inside part of the hollow cross sectional form on both ends or one terminal part of the energy absorber.
