DEVICE FOR TAKING IN MEDICAL IMAGE DATA AND SYSTEM OF PROCESSING MEDICAL IMAGE DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for fetching medical image data and a system of processing medical image data capable of increasing the image transferring efficiency, maintaining the quality of the image. SOLUTION: This device for fetching medical image data comprises an A/D converting means for converting inputted analog medical video signals into digital signals, a video memory means for temporarily storing digital image data of at least one visual display, a table memory means for storing an orthogonally crossing coordinate table of the video memory means corresponding to a requested masking region specified by a host image processing device, and an image data transferring means for reading image data only in the masking region corresponding to the orthogonally crossing coordinate table stored in the table memory means out of the video memory means and transferring the read-out image data. The host image processing device comprises a masking region specifying means for specifying a requested masking region, a means for forming an orthogonally crossing table of the video memory means corresponding to the masking region, and a table transferring means for transferring the formed orthogonally crossing coordinate table to the device for fetching medical image data.
