Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tenter device being operable without oil even in a high temperature environment and causing no abrasion of rollers. SOLUTION: A roller 34 for constituting a tenter chain 10 of the tenter device for carrying a PI film 2 in the longitudinal direction in an expanded state in the high temperature environment is constituted of upper/lower two stages composed of an upper roller 38 and a lower roller 40, the upper roller 38 contacts with an inside support wall 14 of a tenter rail 12, and the lower roller 40 contacts with an outside support wall 16 so as to rotate in the respective directions.
