PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strap which can deal easily with a joint shape without disturbing movement in spite of the abrupt movement of the joint, or the like, is hardly peelable and can prevent the infiltration of water, or the like, from outside. SOLUTION: This strap consists of a base material sheet, a tacky adhesive layer formed by coating the one surface of this base material sheet with a pressure sensitive tacky adhesive and a pad affixed to the central part on the surface of this tacky adhesive coating layer. The ratio L/W of the maximum length W in the transverse direction of the base material sheet and the maximum length in a longitudinal direction is 2.5 to 5 and the maximum width (a) of the pad is 0.2 to 0.6 times the average width of the tacky adhesive surface (b) to which the pad is affixed. The strap has notches heading the pad within a pad width region consisting of the tacky adhesive layer surface enclosed by the two straight lines drawn perpendicularly in the longitudinal direction from both ends in the longitudinal direction of the pad.
