Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a passive matrix organic thin film luminous display which can realizes a high definition, a low driving voltage, a low power consumption, and a high luminance. SOLUTION: Electrodes 21 in odd-numbered columns of a first electrode part are connected to an odd-numbered column data side driving circuit 11, and electrodes 22 in even-numbered columns are connected to an even-numbered column data side driving circuit 10, and electrodes of a second electrode part are connected to a scanning side driving circuit 5, and electrodes 21 in odd- numbered columns and electrodes 23 in odd-numbered rows of the second electrode part are made into one electrically independent matrix, and electrodes 22 in even-numbered columns and electrodes 24 in even-numbered rows of the second electrode part are made into one electrically independent matrix. Individual matrixes are simultaneously scanned in line sequence. Thus a driving duty is doubled, and a time to constitute one picture is shortened, and a selection time for every row is extended. Thereby, a high definition, a low driving voltage, a low power consumption, and a high luminance are realized. |
