Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymerization catalyst for producing a vinyl chloride-ethylene copolymer, which permits the production of a vinyl chloride- ethylene copolymer having a high ethylene unit content under the conditions of a low reaction pressure during polymerization, and a process for producing a vinyl chloride-ethylene copolymer using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The polymerization catalyst for producing a vinyl chloride- ethylene copolymer comprises pentamethylcyclopentadienyltitanium trimethoxide and methylaluminoxane.
