Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method to sufficiently prevent the welding distortion by appropriately reducing the residual heat in the welding by a simple means in a metal plate to be welded. SOLUTION: When a stiffener 2 is fillet-welded 6 to a relatively thin steel plate 1 by a welding torch 3 in a shipbuilding industry, a reverse side of the steel plate 1 is cooled by a cooling means such as spraying cooling water 5 from a nozzle 4 in order to prevent the distortion caused by the residual heat.
