CORAL SAND-CONTAINING CULTURE MEDIUM FOR ARTIFICIAL CULTIVATION OF MUSHROOM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coral sand-containing culture medium for artificial cultivation of mushrooms. SOLUTION: This coral sand-containing culture medium for the cultivation of the mushrooms by the culture medium rich in nutrition is obtained by using bran, corn starch or sawdust. (a Japanese beech or a Japanese oak) as a base material of the culture medium and adding the coral sand comprising a powder containing a minor mineral such as zinc or a reactional liquid prepared by reacting the coral sand with an acid as a nutrient source for the culture medium in order to carry out the growth promotion of artificial cultivation of the mushrooms, especially Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray. Thereby, the culture medium having antimicrobial actions derived from the coral sand and supporting actions with a slight change with time is prepared. As a result, the cultivation of the mineral-rich Grifola frondosa S.F. Gray containing the minor mineral can be carried out.
