Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost spark arrestor for a muffler for a vehicle, in which filter capacity is large because of a filter connected to a front end of a thick tail pipe, in which engine performance and exhaust sound are kept favorable because of a cover provided with restricting pores covering the filter, and in which the cover can be easily attached or detached for facilitating cleaning the filter. SOLUTION: A cylindrical filter 12 closed with a closing plate 11 at a front end is connected to a front end of a tail pipe 8 installed on a tail flange 3 of a muffler 1, a cylindrical cover 13 having a bottom and provided with plural restricting pores 15 bored in a cylinder side surface is provided, and the cover 13 is provided to be close to the cover 13 to cover the whole surfaces of the filter 12. The restricting holes 15 are provided at a part 12f facing a front part of the filter 12, and the cover 13 is freely detachably fastened to the closing plate 11 at a filter front end.
