Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root installation device for installing a composite blade onto a rotor of a gas turbine engine. SOLUTION: This invention comprises a blade root shim to be used between the root of a composite blade and the wall of a root receiving slot provided in the rotor of the engine. The shin is provided with a base extended in a length direction and having a first and a second ends apart from each other in a lateral direction, a first and a second legs extended in a length direction and bent at an acute angle inward from the first end and the second end toward the base, and first and second coating of a low friction coefficient on a first and a second surfaces, outward faced each other, of the first and the second legs. As the coating used in this, coating comprising polytetrafluoroethylene power dispersed in a resin binder, or coating containing polytetrafluoroethylene is suitable.
