ROD MATERIAL ACCUMULATING AND BINDING METHOD AND EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rod material accumulating and binding equipment which can bind rod materials having both big and small diameters and formed in both big and small bundles without generating ridgelines. SOLUTION: This relates to a rod material accumulating and binding method for accumulating and binding a predetermined number of rod materials carried by a carrying conveyor. The equipment is provided with a process for determining the width and the height of the cross section of the rod materials accumulated right before binding depending on the weight of a bundle and the diameter of the rod materials to be bound and for determining a divided/accumulative width by dividing the determined width according to the type of the rod materials to be accumulated, a process for accumulating until the rod materials carried by the conveyor reach the height determined by the divided/accumulative width, a process for combining in a line form a plurality of rod materials accumulated to the determined height and in the width for forming an accumulative condition right before binding, and a process for binding the accumulative group formed in the accumulative condition right before binding.
