SOLUTION: A ferromagnetic fluid cap system 100 comprises a supporting structure 102 engaging with a print head 54, and a magnetic element 104 being supported by the supporting structure 102. Ferromagnetic fluid 105 is placed on the magnetic element 104 and touches print head nozzles when the supporting structure 102 engages with the print head 54 to seal the print head nozzles. The ferromagnetic fluid 105 exhibits a polarity when ink has no polarity and exhibits no polarity when ink has a polarity.
