Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a thick coated part front and behind a joint part of a web without lowering the productivity and to shorten an uncoated part as far as possible. SOLUTION: A valve 30 provided in a by-pass pipe 36 is opened, before coating operation is ended by lowering a wire bar 12 before the joint part 10A to separate the wire bar 12 from the web 10. That is, the wire bar 12 is descended in a state that liquid level in a liquid reservoir 14 descends. Then the coating quantity becomes equal to that of a part where the coating is finished and the occurrence of the thick coated part is prevented. After the joint part 10A passes, the valve 38 is closed before the wire bar 12 is brought into contact with the web 10 and the coating operation is started. As a result, the wire bar 12 is ascended in a state that the liquid level in the liquid reservoir 14 ascends. Then the coating quantity becomes almost equal to that of a part where the coating is finished and the partial thick coated part is not occurred.
