DATA BACKUP METHOD FOR PORTABLE TERMINAL AND PORTABLE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To back up the data of a portable terminal without using dedicated software and hardware such as a personal computer required for its execution and without requesting the backup operation to a service shop when a user tries to back up the data. SOLUTION: A memory 1 stores the character data of a telephone directory such as names and telephone numbers. On the basis of the character data read out of the memory 1 by a control part 2, a voice reproducing part 3 reads encoded voice data out of a voice data source 4. A voice decoding part 5 decodes the inputted encoded voice data, and these data are outputted through a D/A converting part 6 and an analog output part 7 to an audio output LINE and recorded by analog audio equipment. The analog audio signal inputted from the audio input LINE is inputted to a voice recognizing part 11 through an analog input part 8, an A/D converting part 9 and a voice code part 10, the name and the telephone number or the like are identified and character data corresponding thereto are stored in the memory 1.
