ERROR CONTROL METHOD FOR LINK LAYER IN BROADBAND WIRELESS COMMUNICATION AND RECORDING MEDIUM FOR IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error control method for link layer in a broadband wireless communication employing a simultaneous multiple copying technology and an adaptive forward error control technology. SOLUTION: This method includes a step (a) where an error rate of a forward channel depicting a direction of cell transmission from a 1st node to a 2nd node is estimated on the basis of a state of a reverse channel denoting a direction of cell transmission from the 2nd node to the 1st node, and a forward error correction code having a variable coding rate in its protocol data unit of a wireless link layer according to the estimated error rate is transmitted through the forward channel and a step (b) where upon the receipt of feedback information denoting the presence of an error in the cell transmitted in the step (a) through the reverse channel, a copy cell of the cell transmitted in the step (a) is retransmitted.
