Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavator to which a succeeding pipe mutually connected underground or a succeeding pipe having a projected member extended in a drive direction at the outer periphery of the succeeding pipe can be driven easily and for a long distance underground and also to reduce the cost and the term of work for connected pipes in a line which are installed to prevent the collapse of ground or the like by connecting succeeding pipes each other. SOLUTION: At the rear of a pipe body 1d of an excavator at the tip, two gutter cutting devices which drive rotary excavating blades 2a in a freely ratable manner inside a disc-shaped casing 2d having a partial opening 2e are attached at a 180 deg. opposite sides, a succeeding pipe 5 is connected to the rear of the pipe body 1d, a bore hole H is drilled by the excavator 1, two gutters S are drilled with the gutter cutting device 2, and the cutting devices are driven so as to pass the connecting fittings 5a, 5b of the succeeding pipe 5 inside the gutters S.
