Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tunnel constructing method which reduces settlement of the ground surface at the time of excavation of a tunnel, and shortens a construction period, and to provide the tunnel per se. SOLUTION: Prior to construction of a tunnel, steel pipes 9 which are preliminary installed works are arranged between improvement bodies 5 which are constructed from the ground surface 1. Then, an upper half portion is excavated, and a timbering (steel timbering + shotcrete) 13 for the upper half portion is constructed. Thereafter, a lower half portion is excavated, and a timbering (steel timbering + shotcrete) 19 for the lower half portion is constructed. In this manner, the tunnel is constructed.
