RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD AND RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE FOR MAGNETIC DISK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an inexpensive magnetic disk recording and reproducing system large in capacity and high in transfer speed. SOLUTION: A magnetic head is moved in the radial direction of a rotating magnetic disk to record and reproduce the information signal. At this time, the forwarding speed of the magnetic head at the time of recording operation is made larger than the forwarding speed of the magnetic head at the time of reproduction, and the information signal is recorded/reproduced without performing the tracking servo control for the magnetic head. A recording track may be formed alternately in the radial direction of the magnetic disk by a pair of magnetic heads having different azimuth angles, or formed while giving a guard band by one magnetic head. The read out information signal is stored in a memory and outputted by rearranging the signal in order of address.
