Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cracking of a non-steady-state part of a colorant receiving layer without producing an adverse effect on a steady-state part of the layer, irrespective of the composition of a coating solution and the conditions of a coating operation. SOLUTION: On the occasion of drying, a crosslinking agent or a water-soluble resin is applied locally by a local coating device 18 to a non-steady-state part apt to crack more than a steady-state part, that is, to at least one of the beginning portion, the ending portion and both of side edge portions being coated with a coating solution 12 in a colorant receiving layer 12A. Therefore the amount of addition of a crosslinking agent to be added beforehand to the coating solution 12 or the amount of coating of the crosslinking agent to be applied to the whole of the colorant receiving layer in small enough only to prevent cracking of the steady-state part.
