COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that data communication cannot have conventionally been made in two-way communication between devices employing different protocols with each other as the TCP/IP protocol and the BSC protocol. SOLUTION: This communication protocol converter is provided with a BSC serial communication control section 8 that conducts BSC communication, a TCP/IP serial communication control section 9 that conducts TCP/IP communication, communication data storage buffers 91, 92 that process data temporarily stored by a first-in first-out system, and a microprocessor 3 that asynchronously conducts two-way communication between the protocols TCP/IP and BSC by storing received data from the BSC protocol and transmission data to the BSC protocol once into the communication data storage buffers and processing the stored data after the end of priority processing of data with the IP protocol when the reception of data with the TCP/IP and BSC protocols is overlapped. Thus, two-way data communication between the devices respectively employing different protocols with each other as the TCP/IP protocol and the BSC protocol can be conducted without causing congestion in the communication.
