CONNECTOR AND DISK DEVICE HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector and a disk device having the same, which is capable of improving a positioning accuracy of a connector pin to meet the external device-mounting standard. SOLUTION: A disk device includes a body portion 1 receiving a recording medium, a head and the like; a circuit substrate 15 in which circuits of controlling the operation of the recording medium, head and the like, are mounted; and a connector 22 disposed between the circuit substrate 15 and external devices and served to transmit electrical signals. The circuit substrate 15 is joined to the body portion 1, and the connector 22 is joined to the body portion 1. Also, the connector 22 has a connection to the circuit substrate 15 and a connection to external devices at the opposite side. The body portion 1 has a junction to which the connector 22 is joined. This junction is formed with respect to a position of the external devices to be mounted on the body portion 1. The junction and the connector 22 have the substantially same shape such that their facing surfaces are concordant in horizontal and vertical directions.
