Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the head positioning accuracy of a load/unload type disk drive by preventing the plastic deformation of a thin-wall ramp due to a touch that is caused by an external shock between a disk and the ramp and reducing a flatter phenomenon of disk. SOLUTION: A squeeze plate 18 is placed near the outer circumference of a disk 12. The gap H1 between the disk 12 and the ramp 16 is made larger than a gap H2 set between an area where no data are recorded at the outer circumference part of the disk 12 and the plate 18, and the gap H3 between an area of the disk 12 where the data are recorded and the plate 18 is made larger than the gap H2.
