Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm the denominations of paper sheets stored in a paper sheet storage device with a safe and simple method. SOLUTION: Without unlocking a lock device 75, the denomination of a top paper sheet 1 stored in a storage part 51 can be visually confirmed from the outside of a frame 50b of a paper sheet storage device 50 through a transparent member 70 fixed on a part of the frame 50b. A presser plate 32 for pushing the paper sheets 1 into the storage part 51 has a length and a width smaller than the length and the width of the paper sheets 1 so as to expose the peripheral part of the top paper sheet 1 around. Besides, the presser plate 32 and the paper sheets 1 can be moved to any positions easy to confirm through the transparent member 70 by a stick 72 inserted from the outside through a hole 71 formed on the frame 50b or handle 73 protruded from the presser plate 32 or receiving plate 54 to the outside of the frame 50b.
