Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compatible both quick return of work after waiting and drastic reduction of fuel waste, noise and vibration in the waiting state by using both an engine and an electric motor as a driving source of a pump, concerning a hybrid hydraulic system and a hydraulic construction machine. SOLUTION: This hybrid hydraulic system is constituted of actuators 14 for converting oil pressure into mechanical motion, a hydraulic pump 12 for feeding operating oil to the actuators 14, an engine 7 for driving the hydraulic pump 12, a clutch 8 interposed between an output shaft of the engine 7 and an input shaft 12a of the hydraulic pump 12, an electric motor 9 connected to the input shaft 12a of the hydraulic pump 12, a load detecting means 13a for detecting or estimating the loading state of the actuators 14, and a control means 6 for integratedly controlling the start and stop of the engine 7, the start and stop of the electric motor 9 and the connection and disconnection of the clutch 8 on the basis of the loading state of the actuators 14 detected or estimated by the load detecting means 13a.
